Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It is FINALLY 2020! A year I plan to work harder than I have ever before and achieve ALL the goals I set for myself. In order to do that I believe meticulous planning is key. I’ve noticed it is very difficult for me to stay focused at home so I’ve started looking into some nice and quiet cafes where I could get some work done. Here are my top 3 favorites that I have been going to recently!

1.Woodberry Coffee Roasters

Location: Tokyo, Shibuya City, Higashi, 2 Chome-20-18 150-0011
Hours: Mon-Wed 8:30am-6pm, Thurs-Sun 8:30am-11pm

Woodberry’s passion and love for coffee is like no other. They value the quality of their coffee and do their best to deliver the most authentic flavors so that their customers can enjoy. They believe the taste of coffee begins from soiling the land and during the process of the seeds growth. Woodberry respects the manufacturers of the coffee beans and wishes to deliver good coffee to as many people as possible.

The interior is very aesthetic. Clean, minimalistic, and has accents of cute dried flowers throughout the shop which I absolutely love. So far I’ve had the Hoji-cha Latte and Green Tea Latte both very rich in flavor. They also have a food menu, all very delicious. I recommend getting the avocado toast!

2. Megan
Location: Tokyo, Shibuya City, Higashi, 1 Chome-29-3 Shibuya Bridge B1F
Hours: Mon & Sun 8am-5pm, Tues-Sat 8am-11:30pm

Megan is located inside of Shibuya Bridge which is relatively new and has many small shops you can browse and explore. Not only is it a place you can sit down for a coffee, it is a restaurant and bar at night! You can enjoy a delightful breakfast, lunch, and or dinner here. If you love good music you’ll love their selection of vinyl records. Very unique space that is also foreigner friendly, highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a place to chill with some friends!

Also, if you’re looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, they’ve got little cakes and pastries as well!

3. Urth Caffe
Location: Tokyo, Shibuya City, Sarugakucho 8-9
Hours: Mon-Sun 10am-7pm

Urth Caffe, originally from California, is one of my most favorite cafes! I have been going to the one on Melrose and Downtown LA back when I used to live in California and it has been my go to for a long time now. Urth coffees are organic and 100% chemical free. They also have a wide variety of hand selected fine teas along with yummy boba or bubble teas which are very popular as well. When I go for lunch I usually get their paninis because they are not common here in Tokyo. Whenever I go I like to bring my ipad to get some work done. I also love their music playlist, it reminds me of home. I can literally stay here for HOURS. The best part is, if you are done with your drink and are ready for another one, just bring your cup to the counter and they will get you a refill for cheaper!

So these are my top 3 picks on my list so far, but it’s still January so I’m sure there will be more discoveries in the near future!

Until next time,
Terra
