Hello! I am Nana.
Today,I will introduce the place called “Hakone” in Kanagawa Prefecture.
※Sorry this time I don’t have enough pictures.
Hakone is part of the Fuji Hakone Izu national park.Less than onehundred kilometers from Tokyo.
Famous for hot springs,Lake Ashinoko nearby Mount Fuji.
So much beautiful nature.
Hakone is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese and international tourists looking for a break from Tokyo.
There are so many ways to go there.
It depends on which place you would like to go to.
I recommend you to get the “Romance-car”(express train) from Shinjyuku station.
It takes 1hour and a half.
During the ride there,You will see some of Japanese beautiful scenery.
Then you will arrive at Hakone-Yumoto station which is the most eastern part of Hakone.
You can find some small shops to buy souvenirs or some finger snacks and there ae mountains and river near the station.
From the station, you can get Hakone-Tozan-Tetsudo(railway) line to go up of the mountain.
And between Hakone-Yumoto to Goura, there is a popular open air museum called “Chokoku no mori”.
That successfully attempts to creat a harmonic balance of nature and art by exhibiting various sculptures on its grounds in comnination with views of the surrounding valley and mountains.
And they have the picasso exhibition hall as well.
Open hours 9am-5pm
costs 1600yen(with the Hakone free pass)
From Gora, you can get the Hakone-Ropeway down to Ashinoko(lake Ashinoko) that is also one of the most popular places in Hakone.
Between that,you can stop Owaku-dani.
That is area a crater created during the last eruption of Mount Hakone. some 300 years ago.
Today, much of the area is an active volcanic zone where sulfurous fumes, hot spring and hot rivers can be experienced.
And you should eat boiled eggs at Owaku-dani.
It looks black and we have a story like a superstition.
If you eat the eggs you can live 7years longer.
costs 100 yen
Have a nice day :)
